Looks like the company has turned into a rob peter to pay Paul sorta pyramid. Local cattle feeder got into the same situation and took a feeder coop down as well. If they are pulling this crap with customers you can guarantee suppliers, employees, cra, wcb have issues with them as well. Rather criminal this has been allowed to go for this long. Remember years ago people had trouble getting parts for their shit spreaders, and too bad because their stuff wasn’t too bad from what I could see. Wonder who they bank with? Bad press isn’t good for your creditors to see.

I don’t imagine they have creditors, likely the people they scam into giving them money are their “creditors “, my lawyer called it kiting (spelling??). They owe money all over the place, not just people who buy equipment. I check out the BBB every once in a while, always someone new adding to the list of complaints. Blows my mind how they can keep juggling so many balls at one time, eventually they will slip up. I don’t know how they can keep hiring new people, because they seem to be as crooked and go along with him all the time.

That is a good question if they have creditors or if they are moving money around to make it appear as though they are not up to their eyeballs in a sinking ship. I looked up the term Kiting and its hard to say if that is possible in Canada due to cheques having to clear ... although depending on the bank and the company they can wave that requirement and the account the cheque gets deposited into will instantly show the new balance even though the cheque has not actually transacted yet through the system. Of course what they are doing it seems is being prepaid by the customer and using that customers money for months or years at no interest to keep themselves from hitting the wall head on.
Also I had to laugh when I read the article and John babbles about how they were having issues getting hydraulic components because of "their supplier" ( and I see someone on the other forum commented on that point ) when I know for a fact it may as well be the same company as Leons as I went though that with Leons a few years ago trying to figure out if I should have new rams made for a scraper or repair my old ones, they literally passed me over from the one division to the other to inquire about the supply of said ram for said scraper. Pretty much semantics and two buildings but two companies on paper to separate the shit show. This is the line where he spews out that bs, calling it a partner company and yet I expect he can legally claim that but what a crock to word it that way as many would not realize he is really talking about their own company that can't deliver product to ... their own company. I wonder if he has a photo of Bernie Madoff on his wall in his office !
“We’ve never not acknowledged in the last couple of years some of our problems after COVID, and some of the problems after some of our partner companies.… We had one that supplies hydraulics that had a fire and kind of reorganized their business,” he said in an interview.

Oh Jesus. I wish you all the best. Just a heads up, they are in court almost every day so they have no problem dragging it on for as long as they can. I think the best thing you can do is make it as public as possible, contact different media publications, you could try The Western Producer, they just had an article about them. The Manitoba Co-Operator was who I spoke with during my ordeal. Get the word out to as many truckers as you can, maybe go on some trucking forums and let people know. They are a crooked bunch, every single one of them.

Saw it on the other combine forum. Apparently Leons just went bankrupt.

Too bad poor management spoiled a decent product . Too bad for the employees who built the products . I don’t think the welders were crooked bastards!
Sad thing is bankruptcy doesnt mean much any more . Probably open up as a different name when the shit settles from being hit by the fan . Hard to believe so many were betrayed by these fools !

No, they weren’t all crooks, by it ran much deeper than just management. I know some will be out of a job but I’ll sleep better knowing that they won’t be screwing over any more people. I hope that dirt bag walks out of there with absolutely nothing.

I wonder if this was a pivotal moment although years ago now, something certainly happened within the last years I would think that caused the decline and I would guess before the plandemic reared its head there were issues and financial institution involvement to extend their rope as it were.

I’d say after he died the crooks all moved in. They were pulling off the same scam they did to me for many years before they got me. I was guessing probably close to 20 years, and after reading that article of when Leon died, that would be around that time frame. If you get looking around much, like I did, there’s almost nobody they dealt with that didn’t have some kind of issues with them. I would like to see an investigation into them, I wouldn’t be surprised to see money hidden in accounts or off shore banks. If they were in financial trouble, there’s no way they could have dragged it on for that long.

Sounds like their bank was fed up with the same crooked dealings Leon’s gave their paying customers ! Key word is “paying”
Leon’s failed to pay payroll and other bank payments . Bank liquidation is happening now!
Maybe like bergs prep and paint in winkler , this company will re open as a different entity ? Would be nice to see the former employees who had a good work ethic to take over!?

Wow, they owe the bank to Montreal $16.6 million!!!!!! Sounds like they owe money to everyone. Still blows my mind how this was allowed to go on for so long.

I see the receiver is putting Leon’s and Ramrod up for sale, either the entire business or will sell assets separately. Looks like they are done for good.
