Batten down the hatches Sw man ! Holy , 45 cm could be something with 60 km winds. Last I checked , Morris looks like 6 cms. Hard to trust these forecasts. Maybe come fall Sw man will have bumper crops from that storm! It bugs me now the news like to show file images of bad weather like we don’t know what that might look like ! Maybe 2" here so far. Nothing like the overly dramatic forecasting was making it out to be, even the wind is not really that high and usually the wind forecast is somewhat accurate. So far it has been a really nice snow, most came gently in last couple of hours. Hopefully it doesn't blow around tomorrow. Prior to this we were in a zero snow cover situation, all fields were bare. Forecasts are basically un-trustable now(if that's a word...). Designed to push fear out to help sell the climate change narrative.

We had about 10" in the fields before this storm. In a good sheltered spot I measured 15" over night. Add another 3" this afternoon and it's still snowing. Did some plowing, got stuck only once when I slipped off the road. Lots of snow pushing gonna happen tomorrow.

You did well!! Haven’t been out for awhile, snowed off and on all afternoon, guess 3-4 inches maybe, doesn’t look like much, mostly blew around. Schools are canceled for tomorrow already, I was suspecting the buses to be canceled but not the school, but I guess most of the teachers in the division commute a fair distance.

I was starting to doubt the forecast until about 1pm today but we finally are getting dumped on pretty good now. Started out with a bit of rain and some real heavy wet snow, so hopefully some of sticks around but I doubt it. Wind is really picking up this evening.

Still snowing here. 6-8”. Hard to tell with the wind that was with it. Wind has died down now so its not too bad out. I realized how out of shape i am trying to walk through the snow to check cows so i had to push some snow in the yard when i got home from hockey this evening.

Well I jumped the gun a bit, got more throughout the day and looks like about 6" but the wind is up now so doubt we have even coverage on the fields. This should make the creeks trickle a bit in spring anyways.
Glad we spent Saturday doing chores and getting the yard tidied up, will make snow removal easier. Probably the third or fourth time we have smoothed ruts in the yard and cleaned up in case it snowed, but the first time it really mattered.
Gary if I understand that correctly 15"+3" of new snow on top of 10" already.....that sounds like a lot of work!!!

Easy 10" of snow fell here. Forcast said snow Saturday and Sunday. Only got about 1" on Saturday. Snow started around 9 Sun morning and by 5 in the afternoon it was almost up to my knee everywhere in the yard. It was comming down real heavy with not much wind. Walked out to the end of the driveway and could only see the distance of 1 power pole.

Sounds like some of you really got quite the dump of snow, over the last couple of days I would guess only 2 inches here but fairly cold with a north wind once again, this morning was -31c with a breeze to go with that. Supposed to warm up in a few days but was hoping for moisture sake to get a good snow fall but never happened.
I was watching some of the video taken from the Donner pass area and some of the equipment they use is impressive as per graders with all tires chained up, loaders chained up and some with the large engine blowers. Many people stranded through that area including a lot of tractor trailers lined up and buried in the snow. Tow trucks busy winching out one truck after another. Of course skiers heading up there to ski but the lifts are shut down and they are stranded, its a California mentality thing !

This was our first real snowfall for the winter. Had a few skiffs before but the warmer weather few weeks back melted it all. Fields were basically bare. Havn't driven my sleds yet this year. Looks good now to use them for a few short weeks left in the season. Only issue I have is that we are scheduled to start hauling the end of the week so new I need to put in a bit of time plowing snow to open eveything up so the semi's can get around. Too bad it didnt go last week but trains didnt come. CN screwed me again.

We actually got some moisture this morning! Unfortunately there was more hail then rain. Good news though... all my old farm pickups were still tucked away in the sheds and the only thing hailed on was my wifes 2023 Grand Cherokee as she was at work.
Oh wait, maybe that's not so good.

Oh man I’m getting too old for working like this! lol. Got quite a bit more snow than I thought we did, we went in at 3:00 AM yesterday morning and pushed snow nonstop until 6 PM. That got the businesses and regular driveways done. They had a water break they were fixing today so asked if I could drive a truck for a few hours in the morning, I was looking forward to a slow day, hauled away one load and they decided that they didn’t need me on that job so asked if I could do a few extra driveways that had phoned in, ended up doing another 8 hours pushing snow 😥 lol. I’ve pushed snow quite a few years around town now, usually after a bad storm about half will be pretty bad and the rest are mostly blown out, but for whatever reason this time ever driveway had a foot or more, same for the parking lots. Thank god they have blades for the loaders. Actually had a guy a used to work for years ago called me yesterday to see if I could go help him drive a truck hauling grain because his usual loader operator was away on a holiday. I seem to be everyone’s back up plan! lol My legs and back feel like I’ve run a marathon, funny how your body gets out of condition when you stop doing a certain activity.

Oh joy, here we go again!! Windy and snowing again, calling for another 10-20 cm depending on where it goes. I just walked in the door from getting back from town and got a text from the school informing me that the buses have been canceled for this afternoon so now have to run back in to get the kids.
