People actually add water to their canola? Isn't that illegal? No , it’s not , but you have to use potable water . Using unsanitary water is prohibited . Not sure why some critisize that practice . It’s a natural process . Just has to be done correctly!

Yes lots of people do it.
Technically I guess it’s illegal as your adding a foreign substance to the grain.

People actually add water to their canola? Isn't that illegal? Our local Bungee doesn't mind if the canola is "value added". As Oatking said, it needs to be potable water. I've heard of it not working so well for guys that used pond water. Of course it's important not to add too much, or that could be an issue.

People actually add water to their canola? Isn't that illegal? I am pretty sure here in the states it's very not legal. I think it is called adulteration of grain.

Rain water is ok? But rain water from a dugout is not ? Dugout water is gross. I'd drink rain as it falls from the sky. I wouldn't take a scoop out of a dugout and hammer it down.

Canola that caught at least an extra inch of rain is a lot better than stuff on lighter land that didn’t. Close to an extra bushel for ever 1/10 of rain.

And this is why there’s government to protect the innocent Like it or not Actually it's during the food processing operation when all the harmful chemicals are mixed in, water is not the problem. Google any of the hundreds of chemicals on the ingredient label of most processed foods today and it would make your stomach turn...all gov't approved. Here is one the gov't puts in peoples drinking water.

How about just paying us on a dry matter basis instead of f_____g around? They do a moisture test on every load anyway and they sure as shit will penalize you if it's too wet.

Then as soon as your dangerous "water infested" canola is in the plant guess what they use to extract a little more oil from it? Hexane, which is used for degreaser and solvent in glue and varnishes! There is no way this crap isn't bad for you, but the EPA doesn't have any carcinogenic data on it...but the lab rats that breathed fumes had damaged nuts! www.epa.gov/sites/default/files/2016-09/documents/hexane.pdf

I really don’t disagree, but after the canola is turned into oil, would it really matter ? Probably not, I also don't care if people do it, I just didn't know if it was illegal or not. I wouldn't do it, we usually haul canola when it's -30 outside. I feel like watering it would be a hassle. Haha
