In Winnipeg I saw a couple of the Canadian tire stores did have a bit of stock of 270 Win, the Federal brand. Cabela's doesn't seem to list much of anything in store but lists a lot of "available online" so I wonder what the deal is with that, can ammo be ordered and shipped or does it have to be shipped to the store and picked up with the PAL. I see my local Canadian tire, it has a certain amount of that same brand/spec as in 55 boxes of it. But I understand the situation, there is nothing physically near you to go to a store and get set into your hands, very frustrating.

I have plenty of shells so not a issue currently, just something I noticed. The guy my brother was talking to said he can’t even get them ordered in, I imagine the big stores had stock to get them this far.

Looks like they are getting low as well, only the top three brands were in stock, the rest said out of stock.
Will they ship directly to you?

I'm sure they are getting lower but also ammo has all increased so much I doubt people can afford much. Gun control 100 different ways...

I had forgotten that G4C only ships ammo UPS(not Canada Post) and has to be same address as your PAL. So living rural might not be an option unless a townie orders it for you. Dumb rules... And after looking through their website a bit it appears things are really getting picked over. Gonna be impossible to shoot my .357Magnum soon...

I figured it would be a carrier other than Canada post, my wife worked there for a bit and I’m pretty sure that they don’t allow bullets to be shipped. Sometimes ordering stuff online can be a hassle living in the country, I don’t order online much, but it gets frustrating trying to explain to the shipper that you don’t live on a street or have an apartment number 🤦♂️.

Got a call today from Prairie Mobile, the handheld VHF radios I had asked about forever ago finally came in. Who knows, maybe the tap-and-die sets I had ordered almost a year ago might eventually show up...lol

I haven't been looking in stores much for that type of item but I happened to notice yesterday that a huge area of shelf from the floor up was almost empty and someone else standing in the area commented that this seems to be a theme in stores and items like cough medicine and children's Aspirin is it or Tylenol ? is not to be found, this was also in a Superstore and would guess it could have been as long as a 15 to 20 foot span of shelving that was bare.

I believe it is children's tylenol that is super tight, but appears to have spread to any and all associated items. I looked at a couple of stores now and it's very similar. Would fit the narrative of like 1/4 to 1/3 of kids being absent from school because of sickness and the strain that would put on the supply chain. Lots of adults walking around hacking their lungs up too, one guy in Princess Auto I thought was gonna fall over dead and the whole store was taking note of him. Makes one wonder if this is what's out in public what must be going on in homes that we don't see? For the record my wife said small town pharmacy had medicine, so not totally gone yet anyways.

I was in the drug store the other day and there was a decent selection of cold medicine on the shelf. Children’s stuff is still hard to find as well as adult Advil/Tylenol in the hard pills. Pharmacist told me that people are buying them and cutting them up for kids. There was no cough syrup to be seen of any kind.

Was at Shoppers Drug Mart in Brandon today, all cold and flu meds gone, shelves looked like swman’s picture. Only thing on the shelf was Cold FX , wasn’t sure what that was so didn’t get any for my wife who’s now sick, not to mention it was $59 for the jar. Stopped in town on the way home and luckily they had a few different kinds of cough syrup, and happened to notice they had the same Cold FX stuff as Brandon, but at $29 for a jar. Talk about price gouging.

I few years ago cold Fx was going to be taken off the shelves. Doesn’t do anything. But cost money.
