Back at the canola today. Straw is mostly cured but slow going as there is lots to put through and trying to save it. Lots of bushels and straw

Back going again today after being broken down on one of the nicest days we’ve had for awhile, swathed wheat still 16, yesterday tested standing wheat was 19 and swathed 17, buddy said theirs got down to 14.8 yesterday.
Bit of entertainment today, guy baling the straw right behind the combine and a plane spraying our canola right beside us so it keeps buzzing overhead, lots to watch!

Yes. Not as tall as yours but must be close to 5’ tall. And kinda like Trudeau…. Nothing up top

Only ran till about 2 yesterday as we had a shower come thru and give us 2/10's rain. 3 miles north of us dust is flying. Watched it coming while combining and talked to a couple friends that are 10 miles south and they were hit 3 hours before it made it to us. Be sitting for another day till we can hopefully get going. Just canola left so its not too bad but it will be a while when you only get 60 acres done each day and then a shower comes through.

That's kind of frustrating hardrockacres. Does it help to keep the moisture right at that optimum level? Looking hard for the silver lining on the cloud. Getting 60 acres done by 2 is fairly impressive though!

LOL it has brought the moisture up past optimum. The 60 acres is with 3 machines...so maybe not so impressive.

Haha Our canola is testing under 7 that doesn’t happen very often for us in standing canola. We are down to our last 2 canola fields might have been a little tough when we started this morning but after unplugging the impeller in dads machine it’s going through decent now.

another terrible crop of canola That’s funny ! My employee is French and always uses the word terrible to mean good! One of his popular sayings is “you have to be lucky-bad for that to happen” he he he The French language is backwards compared to English!!!!! Man…. Even I start talking English backwards around the Frenchmen!!!!!!!

It’s funny how a guy starts talking like someone who speaks differently than yourself when you’re around them. My daughter had a couple of best friends who were East Indian and I found myself having to make a conscious effort to not start saying things like they did in case it offended them.

I have 40 acres of ripe/yellow/green soybeans with a couple of patches of round up resistant koschia. I combined half a hopper and it looks and smells like a salad bar. What does a guy do? If I swath then the koschia blows away if it gets windy. I’m sure the neighbors wouldn’t like that.

Started some beans today. Wasn't supposed to because it was supposed to rain yesterday. It did not, which is normal this year.

Down to the last field of canola and a 60 acre field of barley. Blew a belt on the (Lexion)😁 670, so we'll fix that in the morning. Kinda gotta wait for a few loads of barley to leave anyway, (supposed to be tomorrow) so we'll have room. We had to fill our wet bin with 8% canola today, 🤦♂️.
