There is some silage corn grown here, but I have never grown it myself. That kind of growth seems incredible! I'm assuming that the corn grew that much, and not that you shrunk.

Hah!! Yes I’m short. 5’8” but big dick! I have never seen all crops grow so fast!

Well it's not the best quality hay, but got finished today and 456 5x6 bales off 100 acres and it's my worst 100 acres and we went around some wet spots. Definitely was a struggle with all the rain and high humidity.

I thought we were doing good with a little over 3 bales/acre on our first year hay crop.

32 seconds was my fastest time to make a 5x6 hay bale in heavy alfalfa one year. Took 1.5 minutes to tie and dump.

Are you sure that is not a square bale? 🤣 That is impressive, I have never had anything like that ever. At least I am not the only one who can run out and have a piss while the baler does its thing. Apparently mesh wrap didn't go up, but of course twine did🙄.

Today one field was 40 bales/hr and the next was 50. 70inch bales.. There were quite a few made in under a minute. Of course that's netwrap. Sadly it was too tough to start until 4:30 and got tough again by 9. Only made 190 bales today.😕

One of the best decisions I made was to get rid of my twine baler and go to netwrap. After I borrowed the neighbors new baler last year I knew I had to get netwrap. I never timed the bales but was picking up to 9mph and was getting 8 bales in a half mile stretch, so I'm pretty sure I spent more time wrapping than baling, even with netwrap. I was up to Brandon and also out East of Winnipeg and down to Steinbach and back home today, crops look generally decent but overall a bit poorer than typical for the areas I was through.

I’d like to fly over the province to get an idea of what crops really look like. I’ve noticed around home from the road crops look ok, and if someone hadn’t seen the area a few weeks ago, would think the crop was good. Reality is that now the crop is a little higher, it hiding the carnage underneath.

You can still see dirty fields from the road, and low spots never planted, uneven crop, plugged runs, etc. When the highway farmers can't even get their act together you know the back roads(me) don't have it perfect...ha ha

The fields nobody sees are always perfect.
