Why is it that 50 feet away from the truck with dusty barley that you're dumping the wind will be blowing so hard that you can't keep your hat on, but when you're cranking open the chutes the dust just drifts back and forth with no regard to the direction the wind is blowing?

Same thing happens to me also, I imagine its due to objects and in this case the truck/trailer that cause a pressure differential as the wind speeds up as it goes around the trailer and creates that reverse/vacuum air flow right where your standing by the auger and the shit flies right at you and your up wind !.

Basically like sitting at a campfire and no matter what side you sit on the smoke blows at you. Also blowing out an air filter, just when you think you have the wind figured out it changes. |
