I'll take a wild guess ( yes if I had time tomorrow I could call up a dealership and ask how much is XXX part but that would be extremely pathetic of me LOL ) ... and my guess is $500.00

Not surprised...isn't the bushing alone almost $100 CDN? Had an issue with the cleaning fan on the 9080 yesterday and a couple of the fan blades have some cracks in them. Called the local NH dealer and for this 4' x 6" piece of stamped 16ga with qty 6 of ~ 3/8" dia holes in it is worth a whopping $187 cdn. Dealer had over 20 in stock so it must be a item that does fail. Didn't buy any, we will be welding up the cracks with the MIG.

I see most of you are getting experienced at getting gouged! lol
About $850 for about a dollars worth of metal, three inches of weld and a bushing. Fortunately didn’t end up having to use it. It’s for the belt tensioner on the accelerator drum on a CR 8.90. Got the machine last year and part way through the season noticed that the back of the belt was getting shredded. That’s when we noticed the tensioner wasn’t running straight on the belt and it must have broken on the previous owner because he had welded a nut on one piece of the assembly, can’t remember for sure but possibly the long bolt that goes through the spring had broken at this point, either way we changed the belt and fixed it up as good as we could but was never happy with how it worked. This whole setup was an afterthought by new Holland, looks like something a kid would design compared to how well the other tensioners work. We thought that the piece was bent so ordered most of the pieces for the assembly, when we got them we compared the piece in the picture to the old one, and they were exactly the same so are made like that. We ended up using a new long bolt, a $300 spring and replaced the piece that had been welded but ended up using it as a spacer behind the new one to make it run straighter. Just overall very poor quality and design. It sounds like this was an update from the original and the new ones are different again so obviously this was an issue. Ended up modifying it and fine tuning it with a large pipe wrench. Hopefully it works.

One of these fuel line brackets was missing since dealer did injectors on the Cummins 8.3l last year. $120 at Case to replace since US$75 seemed it will be over $150 by the time I got it here if ordered on line. The worst part was parts guy goes to one of those organizer tray cabinets behind the counter and pulls out the two plastic pieces meaning they buy them in bulk for likely $1 ea. puredieselpower.com/dodge-products/1st-gen-12v-89-93/fuel-related/5.9l-intercooled-cummins-oem-3-injection-line-clamp.htmlI was however surprised to find out a new returns elevator chain from Case for the 2388 was $420 complete, didn't bother shopping around at Fyfe or A&I. Figured it would be a lot more given a 10ft length of quality #50 chain is probably over $100.

Parts guys were telling me that 60H chain is in short supply this fall. So expect to be gouged for it if you happen to stumble across some.

Not surprised...isn't the bushing alone almost $100 CDN? You can get those bushing for a couple bucks a piece on amazon. also found the rotatory hydraulic union the nh wants $800 for $110 if you order it in the box of the original manufacturer instead of a nh one. starting to do alot more digging online on these kinda things, although doesnt work great for in season.

Even the parts guy told my brother that it’s getting out of hand, said lots of people are trying places like Combine World for parts when they can. This is what happens when you only have a small handful of dealers and manufacturers. Famous last words every time there’s a merger or takeover,”we’ll pass the savings onto you.” 🙄
We should have a section here where guys can post links to parts where they can be found cheaper. Usually a guy can’t find exactly what they are looking for because they’re sold under another name or are in a hurry.
