Canola is sure patchy but coming along okay. Probably the dry spring that did it. How do I post pictures?

Quit posting pictures like that Kevlar! Lol The price of canola will start going down. Actually I'm very happy for you. That is incredible germination!

Alkali patches here are no germination. Couple downpours flooded low spots and now white patches. Poor internal drainage is the bane of existence.

Been hot and dry here, looking for rain last few weeks. 74mm past two hours seems to have done the trick. Crops and farmer looking happier.

Getting some heavy rain here right now with some hail, hope it quits soon. Tornado warning yet again.

Canola is sure patchy but coming along okay. Probably the dry spring that did it. How do I post pictures? I realize its a bit confusing and the reason is that this platform normally charges for adding data volumes each month and to get around that issue Beerwiser figured out that we can use this alternative way of adding photos etc I describe below ( the cost method to this site was to use the upper right "Add Attachment" button, it doesn't work now as its not been paid into the last months as the alternate method seems to do the trick I describe below ). It may sound complicated but its quite easy once you have done it a few times. As Gary mentioned, you have to be on desktop mode in order for this method to work ... I am like the blind following the blind when it comes to technology !
- open up a new "Reply" as you would normally do, you can do your typed explanation first of your intended photo if you like within this new message window ( you can always go back after the post is complete and edit your text ) and then ...
- within this Reply window you go to the lower right area where it says "Upload Images" ( beside the "Create Post" button ) and click on that and up comes a new smaller white window over top.
- within that window you notice the words "browse from your computer" are highlighted, click on that highlight.
- up comes your computer info being able to browse to your photo folder or its a photo you have on your desk top etc and choose that photo and it should attach itself, you can also attach more than one photo, one by one by clicking the "your computer" on that white screen.
- once you have added the photo or photos, then go to the bottom of that white screen where it says "upload" and click on that and it will go through the process of uploading and once it shows that is done your now able to finally click "create post" in the bottom right of your main reply window and that will complete the reply process. At this point you can go back in and edit your text if you need to and "Save Changes"

Looks pretty good to me! Ours definitely didn’t look this good before the rain, still had good germination as we had good subsoil moisture as we were really wet last year, most of our canola this year is on ground that we couldn’t get seeded last year or mostly drowned out after. Was one of the tougher springs for trying to figure out the seeding depths, had seed boots plugging with mud and was hard ground, but the top inch was bone dry. Seeding into our land when it’s wet is tough because it can turn the soil into little balls like BB’s and dry it right out then the seed is laying on dry ground with the moisture literally 1/8 down. I decided to seed everything a little deeper than usual and I think it payed of this year, anyone who sowed shallow have some rough looking crops. Everyone has crop stages all over the map.

Sprayed some wheat with fungicide for fusarium tonight. The rest should be ready to go tomorrow. Looked back and we are 2.5 weeks earlier then last year.
Also got a thunder shower roll through last night and got 6/10 out of it.

Not much at all going on in regards to fungicide spraying . Early wheat is almost fully headed now and most canola is in that 10-15 % bloom period. Soybeans have started to flower . We need a good inch to kick start the crop! Seems like when these thunder storms in western mb pass by portage la prairie they seem to fizzle out!!! Nice to see pictures of good crops from you guys!!! Hope it finishes off nice!

Yes a good! Inch would do wonders. A lot of wheat, peas only shin high. Canola, soys, and corn looks decent but need the rain.
