Talked to an elevator manager yesterday, it’s pretty much confirmed that Bayer has issues with its seed this year, more so the treatment, turns out that basically the same treatment was stopped in the US because of these issues. But like always, Bayer is looking for loopholes. How come there is a shortage of everything, except insecticides? Can get it by the truckload. I think you mean BASF? They are the ones presiding over the downhill slide of the Invigor lineup. And I concur on the insecticide, lots available. I went for enough to spray my first canola field and dealer sent me home with three times as much, guess that came in handy because I sprayed it again. I drove over my , now month old, L233P today. It is two leaf and still very small and beat up, but you can see rows. Beetles seem to have slowed down somewhat.

Its interesting swman you say the downward slide of the Invigor lineup. That is why I only grow L252 and will not change till its gone, because it has been a consistent preformer. I tried a bit of the new L series the last two years back to back with l252 and they dont measure up to L252. Not sure why a decline in quality per say, its the same people isnt it.

BASF is run differently than Bayer. For years they have tried to end the season with basically no chemical inventory in sheds, so if you're that guy trying to find solo for his soybeans in late June it was almost impossible. Things like shortages of inoculant are common too. I'll stop there for now, just frustrated by their business model. I like my rep and have friends that work for the company, but there are issues that must be coming from higher up.

I haven’t pulled my screens yet but when I looked in the tank doing the rinse there was a lot of crap in there. Chunks of plastic.

Not sure what they are putting in the Liberty now, but it's disgusting stuff! Had the same thing happen the other day. Gluey crud coated the entire main filter, although my section filters were completely clean still.

Eek! Seeing that will likely make you feel a little uneasy spraying the next crop, no matter how well you rinse the sprayer out.

I had the same thing with liberty this year, only seemed to be with some leftover from last year though. Also used the same pump as I was using for UAN (without flushing it out fully) and that definitely caused the liberty to curdle. Went to dry beans right after doing my normal clean out and didn't see any ill effects other than some extra leaf burn but that could have been due to the "hot" mix I was using to get some big redroot pigweed. That was last Sunday and the beans have recovered for the most part. Was hardly noticeable on the pintos but the yellows got a little crispy.

Is that generic liberty causing that or BASF liberty?

Is that generic liberty causing that or BASF liberty? That's the real stuff. I had 108L barrels from last year and also used a couple of 432L that I picked up last week. Interestingly enough, there was lots of Liberty in the shed when I picked up the 432L totes. Couple weeks ago not so much.

Hey guys, I know this sounds old school but before the days of my new to me high clearance sprayer, I used jugs of liberty. Yes that is a peta! I always shaked the jugs and never had that sludge problem. How in the world do you shake a 108 l barrel. Result is drawing in the bottom sediment all at once. Maybe agitation is not enough to suspend that sludge it almost appears.

I use the skidsteer to shake up barrels and totes. Liberty does not seem to want to reconstitute very well. Have also pumped it out the bottom and returned it to the top to circulate it but that doesn't work great either. Usually just put in a bit of the separated stuff and top off with good stuff.

I have a secondary Manitoba highway that does all my agitation for me.
But seriously this stuff wasn't dissolving in battery acid, it was like something out of a ghostbusters movie...ha ha

Now that i think of it, when ive been rinsing out those totes, there's a layer of blue slime on the bottom that takes alot of water to clean out. Maybe I should stop rinsing? LOL Just trying to get my money's worth!
