Nope, I don't see any worms.
I have a thought if you can follow my described visual for the Kubota/processor combination with the huge ring hitch and that insane slop. You make or have made a steel bushing that has an inner diameter with a minimal amount of side play for the hitch pin you use on the Kubota. Then make the height of it so to speak just enough to nicely slide in between the hammer strap and the main hitch bar. Have the outside of the bushing made to fit the inner diameter of the processor hitch ring with enough movement that there won't be any binding while in use as the tractor and processor go through dips and twisting oscillations. Then beyond that if there is deemed to be too much up/down movement of the ring hitch on the bushing if the processor likes to "kick" its hitch up as it goes over frozen shit ( if its one with a bale fork on the rear and that puts the balance off to create a light hitch weight ), you could take conveyor belting, baler belting etc and cut a hole in it so it just slips over the outside of that hitch bushing, make however many you need to stack if required to close up that amount of up/down movement the ring hitch would have. The rubber would go on top of the ring hitch so its only stopping the upward motion rather then carrying the load as the underside of the steel ring to tractor hitch should be doing. With rubber spacers so to speak rather then using steel washers, if the hitch action was such that it contacted the rubber in a dip or hitch twisting motion the rubber would compress, obviously don't have the rubber spacers so thick as to have no freeplay. I would think as long as you didn't go too overboard and make the bushing too big in diameter to cause you binding issues, I have a feeling you would much appreciate no more banging and bucking which can't be any good on equipment. You may not require the rubber spacer, that could always be made after if you found the processor hitch was hopping on you.
As to your other tractors worn hitch, as long as welding on it would not somehow compromise the integrity of the steel, welding with whatever chosen welding rod for the hardness you desire or if you have a mig that would be the easiest if you can get into that small space. Then fun with a die grinder with a carbide burr or grinding stones to shape it the best you can.

Jesus Beer, you know I was worried someone might take something personal about what I said, f*ck should have put in a disclaimer I guess lol. I was simply speaking of experience, what I have seen at sales, and the vast majority of what got shoved pushed or drove into my shop to get fixed. By all means of course I didn't mean everyone. I did say nine out of ten I belive, give me credit there lol. I know One Earth sure as hell didn't use hammerstraps, I bought a shitload of them at the sale lol. So as NF said, no worms or worries.
I have to go pump some more water, I'll try to do a reply later on if I feel up to it. Before I forget, that ring on that bale shredder, I wonder if that should have one of them bolt in wedge type reducers in it. I have one of them style pintal hitches on a SprayAir sprayer. Duckek used one on that fancy pull dozer he built on the other forum, should be pics of one online somewhere. Otherwise, yea like NF said, make a bushing up, I have a few for exactly that as I have some military trailers and an AGT spool trailer I use for string wire that I drop a spacer into especially when behind a truck unless using an actual pintal hitch.
Also, any chance you interested in a burnt 986? Did run nice and was lower hour when it burnt. I got it in lieu of payment from a customer. Dual PTO and more. but cab is totally toasted some parts hotter than others. Was still bit of rubber on it. Been sitting here for probably 12 years or more. You still haven't squared up with me over that moose of mine the mrs rundown you know lol. I do hope she's all ok. Let me know I have a couple pics I think.

Ha, definitely didn't take it the wrong way. Just a lot of different opinions which I like. After reading NF's post I was thinking of ditching the whole pintle setup. Might be worth while building a pivot style hitch that matches the tractor pin. Similar to what I have seen on military stuff and some industrial. Its not bad now but in spring when the tractor or processor hits a soft spot it can be quite the twist between the two. As far as the 986, a cab kit is all I really need. I did an in frame maybe 1000 hours ago and the torque amplifier and clutch was done maybe 500 hours ago. The worst problem I got is doing the rear bull gear bearings from years of hauling squares with that tractor. Maybe I should just haul your way AB. I will bring the mrs too so she can square up with you over that moose lol.
