Went skating at the lake again today. 2 miles all the way around the lake, took me 20 minutes. No, sorry, that's how long it took me to catch my breath after we made it around!! Not quite as many people out today. Was talking to one guy and as we looked around and watched people having fun and interacting like humans are supposed to, he said "this is our towns way of saying F you to covid", made me laugh because there were people there from all lines of work, many of who have had to deal with this BS a lot, teachers, police, nurses, seniors. The closest thing I have seen to "normal" in a year. Probably skated over 4 miles with my daughter today, tomorrow might be a little painful. Tomorrow? You must still be on the younger side. The soreness doesn’t kick in for at least two days on me. It seems the older I get the longer it takes.

The rink is great, kids have been on it a few times already. I did find a 3pt sweeper I might make an offer on for when it does start snowing. Right now the weather is awesome and busy doing yard projects, but I bought lumber to make a warming shack. Maybe this can be an annual thing, actually wasn't too hard to do once we were setup for it. Glad to see other people outdoors, it's good to shut off the TV and get outside. Here ya go!

That's quite the rig you found there Kevlar, I see they flipped the towel over so that the hotel monogram doesn't show though

Sure getting your money's worth riding that much of the year! A few years ago our neighbor made a loop through dad's yard on his bike on Christmas because we had little or no snow, to bug dad who is an avid snowmobiler. Not sure where you live, but your roads sure look nice! Even have lines painted on it! Just heard the other day that there was no money budgeted for my area this year for road repairs/maintenance, and it shows, still haven't repaired the damaged and washed out roads since July 1 flood. Also been told to expect our crappy paved road to be gravel in a few years.

My sled hasnt left the garage in 3 years after I blew the shocks, I should probably just sell it as is while people are paying corona prices.

Well I figured I would rig up a zamboni from parts I had here. Old tote, some wind boards, couple old towels, maybe $40 in fittings. By golly I got about half the rink flooded tonight with that half tote. Put a bit more in this time and will go finish in the morning. Surprising how well it worked actually.

Rate control is the drill bit size in the horizontal hose and my foot on the gas pedal. Was a little less coming out in the center I think due to turbulence affecting how much comes out of those center holes, but I drilled a couple extra and should be good.
All the kids were thinking about was good ice, I haven't seen them as happy as when we cracked that valve and it worked like we planned in a long while.

If he wants to get to my level, he will have to take a HUGE step, maybe even a leap...... backwards! Guess we make it sound like too much fun dealing with rusty bolts and leaky everythings!!!!
