Anyone tried an ozone machine for odour removal in a cab, in particular mouse smell? Something like this: OZONE MACHINE Or maybe another method is better?

Ozone machine works pretty good. Might have to do it a couple times. Seems to work better when its hot out. Then clean all the surfaces you can and shampoo any soft surfaces like the seats.
I have used a scent bomb Odour eliminator after cleaning a cab and has worked well also. They get into the air ducts and rid the smell from there also. Need the industrial strength ones and you dont want to be in the cab for a few hours after.

I use an ozonator as a second step in getting rid of mouse smell. First is to clean with soap and water all the vinyl . I usually run it for 7 days with the window cracked open a bit. The instructions warn you about the danger of ruining the vinyl or plastics in a vehicle. But I have yet to see any signs of damage . I like putting those mouse be gone packages in all equipment . I really load up the cabs to be safe. It’s good to get into the Heater core if you can . That is a hard place to clean but wear a lot of the smell originates. The ozonator will help with that. Never let down the defence of mouse control !!

Some years ago we had rented an ozone machine to run in a used tractor because it had been smoked in but also had a detailer come out and clean the cab with some various products including taking the rubber mat out and cleaning that with a solution. We also did try the unit in trucks that had mouse smell and while it helped some I think part of the situation was finding where the darned mice were getting in and finding the dead mice in the cab. Also have used what they call a chlorine bomb and that can help as well once the mice are removed but its effectiveness totally depends on how its used as the engine has to be up to operating temperature and the heat on in the cab and set on recirculating. Everything has to be closed up as per all doors, windows etc ( other than the door one has open to set the chlorine bomb in motion ) and engine idled up ready to be run for up to an hour trapping that hot air with chlorine in the cab. It does smell of swimming pool for a while after if it did its job well but can help the odor issue. But like I said about the mice, if there are dead mice rotting in the cab its going to be a battle to have anything work properly as the stink comes right back. I used to be able to buy the chlorine bomb ( its a small metal can ) at truck dealers like Peterbilt but also the vehicle cleaning companies have them but of course charge more. If one does not have the cab hot and cab fan running its a total waste to use one of them, I tried that and it did nothing at all.
Is this a truck with a sleeper as that adds to finding the spots where mice can get in and where they might be ... alive or dead. The mattress is a prime spot for them getting right inside of it, and them getting in through the floor of the sleeper where the heater and air conditioning hoses run into the bunk. I've tossed a mattress in the process of cleaning a cab and plugging holes up with silicone ( foam that deteriorated around the heater hoses ) and once the cab was cleaned up then if one wants a mattress install a new one. The one Peterbilt had a storage box under the passenger seat, never had reason to open it as I put nothing in it but discovered mice piled up in it as they would get in through the top and like a five gallon pail, once in they could not get out.
