Quite excited that Deere is not abandoning the single rotor combine and making a s7 700 series combine . As a smaller farmer I can never see my self buying a x9 1100 so to have this product slightly used available in a few years is a good fit ! Nice thing is it will have a similar cab as the x9. I like the new body panels and engine options . Not crazy about the new engine bay ladder . Will it be ackward to blow out the rad? Will the s series fit the same headers as the x 9 or will they still fit the 6 and 7 series headers ? Definitely a combine I will be eyeing in a few years .
What will the sale numbers be between the x9 1100 vs the S7 900 ?which is preferred for corn and beans vs small grains ? Anybody test one out yet ?

I would think in small grains country the twin-rotor machines would be far more desirable. Corn/soybean country to the south a single rotor is probably adequate if there is a big price difference.
So you may down the road have to go out of the area in the future machine
