Currently looking to upgrade carts. Looking at a 4 year old used J&M 1500 bushel corner cart and a 8 year old Brent avalanche 2000 bu on tires. Both in really good condition, the J and M looks mint and the Brent looks really good as well for the age. Any benefits of a single auger cart vs dual, or vice versa.

Single auger will be less maintenance . What I mean is the cross auger can plug and break the bolts connecting the flighting . Similar situation we have with our big unload augers! Also I notice they clean out first in the front of cart but you don’t get tough grain bridging like a single auger cart. Biggest plus on dual carts is they are built lower to the ground ! No more problem tearing off the combine spout !!! I love that aspect ! I did not enjoy replacing the spout on a hot windy day standing knee deep in itchy oats ! I distinctly remember lots of f sharps going thru my mind at the time while I was trying to line up bolts or having them fall into the grain ! Ahhhhh ain’t January a relaxing month
