Do any of you guys have a tractor collection or that one tractor sitting in the barn ready for a restore. I farm almost all John Deere stuff now but my favorite tractors growing up is versatile tractors. I have my eye on a few models . First one would be a 145 ! I remember riding with dad on that one! Very noisy ! I also like the series 3 red black striped models.
My old 946 versy got some important care and work done on it this fall. Love that tractor . I put 9000 hrs on that tractor out of the 13500 !!!

We still have dad’s 895 Versatile that we plan on sprucing up someday. It used to be our main tractor at one time and our only 4 wheel drive for many years. It still gets light duty on harrows, better to use it some than just rotting away. I put a lot of hours in that tractor. Could sell it and still get a good price for it, but dad was pretty proud when he bought it.

The first tractor I drove was a Case S, which my father sold when I was 7 years old. I was able to get this tractor back a few years ago, but it had been left outside and is very rough shape now. I also have a very nicely restored Case S that we take for a drive sometimes.

What horsepower would a tractor that size be? Looks pretty small compared to today’s tractors! Nice shape!

I inherited my great grandpas 2N ford. I need to get it home and into the shop to get running. Been sitting a few years in a garage in the yard that my grandma grew up in. My great uncle had it fixed up and painted 20 years ago. Hasn’t been used much since.

i had quite a row of international tractors i acquired but never got around to doing much with them so ive sold a few, still have a farmall C and WD-6 and a few others the most special one was Grandpa's 706 bought new in 1967 left in the 80's we knew where it was and i asked them when your done with it let me know and 2 yrs ago they called and were selling the farm and sold it back to me at a bit of a ransom but i didnt want any other 706 i wanted that one, nice to have it back, i have no use for it on my farm but i like looking at it and driving it around
i figured at one time i'd have a whole yard full of tractors but seems like time is never on my side to play with them, time i get the crop seeded and sprayed i dont wanna fix anything in the summer as its short enough as it is, as well as getting into harvest you fix and drive all fall and them winter hits and its hauling grain and rebuilding combines in the shop, the old tractors take a back seat

Do any of you collect old combines? I’ve always had an interest in having one or two old ones to fix up and use for a couple hours a year, but like was mentioned by another person, there is just never enough time to do things like this, I have a few other projects I’ve wanted to do for many years but have never even got them started.

Maybe in a few years I would like to buy a Massey 510 diesel combine . That was one of the earliest I remember. Would be cool to unleash it on some oats ! I know it’s not that old of a combine but I wish I kept my tr96 newholland . It’s cool how equipment take on a life of its own. Funny how I have fonder memories of the old 510 combine than the relatively new s680 or my new jd 6155r tractor! Maybe because I didn’t have to fix the Massey combine. Another tractor that is still in the family is a Minneapolis moline U model. Maybe this is the year I convince my uncle to part with it!

I have a 15-30 McCormick-Deering that dad bought and restored. It has been sitting in a shed since he passed away 26 years ago. I have never had it running as I haven't found time and my grandpa told me to be careful as if it kicks back on the hand crank it can break your arm?? Have to do something with it as it seems to be slowly sinking into the ground. Also have a Farmall H tricycle unit that grandpa bought new, sheet metal is in perfect shape it just needs to be repainted. I have used that one around the yard a few times to harrow the driveway.

My Dad always cautioned us not to stand over the crank and push down to start the old D case because if it kicked back it could rip your guts out, put your hand on the crank so you can pull it over the top of the travel and don't grip the handle with your thumb on one side of the handle and fingers on the other, have them all on the same side so again if it kicks back it just slides out of your hand without breaking your thumb. I sound old 😆

Haha, apparently I do exactly that, fix them up and use them for a few hours each year, the life of a hobby farmer. I just got a bunch of parts off a TR97 that is going for scrap for my 96's, the guy said there was no interest in it. If it had been green or red it would be stripped bare.
