I think the hoist on my grain truck is the cause of the rattle, is a high pitched clinking sound. I can’t make it do it by hand, I have to be driving, if I lift it even a little bit it seems to stop. Has always made a bit of noise but it’s getting worse. Load line box, not sure the make of the hoist.

Brass liners/guidesis my guess off the top of my head. Had a few hoists that would refuse to come down because of that.

It does sound like brass now that you mentioned it, almost sounds like straw chopper blades clanging around when the chopper slows down. Not constantly but pretty consistently when it’s bumpy.

Tough call, they keep the tubes aligned so the don't bind. Sort of like a slightly bent ram, just a matter of time before it goes south.
