Just wondered what you guys prefer as a drink to stay active during harvest ? Gatorade, power aide , pop or just water . I know millennial farmer sells a power drink mix but have never tried it.

Water and coffee for me. I always keep a juice box close by just in case I need sugar. Maybe will have a Gatorade when I get back to the house if it’s been a long day where I’ve been sweating lots. Never had an energy drink

Same here, coffee and water, sometimes tea if I need a change from coffee. Only tried Red Bull I think it was years ago, tasted absolutely disgusting and made me feel strange, not really any more awake though.
Prime is a big thing in school with kids, we won’t let our kids have it, or any energy drink, and seen not too long ago it was recalled because there was more caffeine in it than is allowed.
Sometimes a good 5 minute walk will wake you up more than anything.

A walk around the machine and a stretch does wonders.

Never had an energy drink I started drinking power aide and Gatorade but man those salts in those drinks gave me kidney stones. I tell you those are something fierce ! Feels like a saw going back and forth your urinary track !😫🤮🤢 Ice tea is my go to! And then coke or coffee.

I thought you were the trucker Oatking, we're too busy to get sleepy, ha.
Water for most of the day. Iced tea if it's hot and hot tea if it's cooler for the evening/night. Maybe a coke for something different once in awhile.

I usually fill a 2 litre pop bottle with ice tea or lemonade, freeze it overnight and drink that during the day as it melts

Mostly just drink water. When we really get going with some long days I will have a monster(rockstar, amp etc.) energy drink around noon to early afternoon. Keeps the afternoon nods away and wears off by later evening so I can still get a good sleep.

Try to stick to water most of the time. Maybe every few days have a can of pop or Powerade. I don't like Gatorade so will buy a 24 pack of Powerade at Canadian Tire or wherever I see a flat of it. I do find that days when I have been working and sweating all day that having a Powerade does help with aches and pains the next day. Now that I don't work full time anymore I can do something else in the day to avoid heat. Been on jobs where the coveralls were soaked in sweat well before noon, those are the days when something more than water helps.
