I just wondered how the John Deere guys have found this to work? I am thinking of putting my 4640 screen in my 680 and linking my 9520r and Elmer’s cart. Would be a nice feature for flex heading my soybeans later . I am getting a price for install on Monday . Is it a subscription service paid yearly? Any thoughts would be appreciated . Do you use that Calder ?

We bought the automation activations for our 4640's this year and set everything up for machine sync for this year. Haven't tried it yet though other than in the yard and it's pretty cool.
We have it on our S680, 9760 and our cart tractor is either our 8230 or 8360R, it works on both tractors.
4640 in your S680 and the 4600 processor in your 9520R tractor should work though, providing you have the automation activations.
Your 9520R would be a one-time activation that you'd need to buy. The 4640 would be a yearly subscription. We decided to try it this year cuz last year we had some issues with the different sized headers and different length augers on the 9760 and S680.
When we still ran two 9760's we'd just set up the same A-B line the proper width away from the combine and use that. It worked last year too but the cart guy had to remember to shift track his lines and be diligent about it cuz if the line was wrong it could very easily steer the tractor into the header because of the different widths between machines.
That being said my buddy ran it last year on his X9 1100 and 8345RT and he said it's an awesome feature that's worth the money.
