I have a 2008 Redball 7830 with a Raven Envizio Pro system. Having trouble with the rate controller. I was out in the field spraying 10 gal automatic mode and then the rate quit and I get dashed lines on the screen where the target rate and actual rate numbers are shown. Then it will kick back up but my target rate will be increased to 12 or 13 gal without me touching it. It will go for a bit but will quit spraying out and the dashed lines will reappear.
Had a tech out and we changed the terminator in the cab as we determined this model of Raven has the product rate controller in the monitor and switch in the cab. This did not solve the problem. Tech says only other thing is the whole system is kaput.
Any ideas? Thanks

Do you think it's the monitor screen or the actual rate controller. We had an error come up on ours that the screen was failing and got a local guy here to replace the screen. All is working well now. Your post gave me a bit of a scare. Does yours still working on manual, or does that not stay constant either?

We’ve had kind of the same thing happen with ours. For a couple years once in awhile it would stop spraying and the lines come up where is shows the rate. We’d shut it off and start again and it would work but our rate never changed. It kept gradually getting worse but of course would never do it when the tech was out. We discovered unplugging the module on the boom that has the flashing lights then hooking it back up would make it work. Finally it got doing it pretty steady and would act up when the tech was here, so he bypassed that module and it’s worked all spring but we’ve had to manually turn off the sections. There’s a guy on here named Christian who fixes electronics, I can’t remember the name of his business off hand, I’ll find it for you if it ends up being the same part that’s shot as ours. Turns out they are about 10 grand for a new one 😬 so will try repair first.

Almost sounds like a flow meter problem, but I have no experience with the raven.

It does the same thing on manual mode when I try to rinse. I unplugged the flow meter while the rate was still showing on the screen and the dashed lines did not appear. So I’m not sure if it’s the flowmeter.
I can sit there for 30 minutes before it will quit and the dashed lines will appear and disappear without me touching anything.
