So on a smaller scale, the Merit pea processor in Winnipeg that "failed", I see that the largest shareholder Burcon is wanting to buy them out. This all looks good on the surface and makes sense that they can take over and it will complement their business. But is this a deal where they get a $150,000,000 - $200,000,000 plant that was largely financed by the government (which means us taxpayers) and now can be purchased by someone for 10 cents on the dollar or even less? I would think the other investors get a kick in the ass as well, except for Burcon. This seems a lot like the pig operations that wanted to put up a bunch of barns around here years ago, they had their investors, they would buy land, build barns and houses on site for the manager and away we go. Then they went bankrupt and everything was sold for pennies on the dollar, the name changed, but the management was the same. They did that several times at the start so after a few goes the investors got a lot better deal than the ones at the start, but a lot of money changed hands until things settled down and those early investors got royally screwed. Interesting that Evergrande and even FTX has left the limelight as will SVB and the other failing banks until they can't ignore it any more, but for the most part there is not much being said on MSM about these issues. Maybe I am seeing this wrong?

It's interesting to note that for some reason things need to be in the "news" first before government acts. Which is the opposite of how it should work given that government is the watchdog for all things and so should be well ahead of the curve. But government never is. It's like government is really bad, stupid, lazy and incompetent - all at once.
The latest news about the banks is something even a brain dead government body doing oversight would have seen coming 14 years ago when interest rates were dropped below the price of the opportunity cost of capital. A 14 year nap is rather long, but hey, it's government so we just need to give them a pass at being really bad at what they do.
Now we wait for government to fix it. Let's not bother with the fact government negligence is crimal in allowing it to get to this point. But if it's by design I suppose that may explain where we are.
Nothing is random and so we watch and see where the plan goes. I think things will happen to work out ok. I suppose we will have to thank government if that happens.

Well you cant make this stuff up! What do you guys think of the liberal mp (chinese ding dong) who was manipulated by chinese officials to encourage the two mikes to spend more time in the iron maiden? He resigned which says he is guilty. I heard the turd crying in question period trying to deny his involvement. Any body who is innocent of a crime like this would not be pleading innocence this way I believe. He has the stink of somebody trying to runaway with his tail between his legs.
I sure would not want to be a conservative voter in his riding! what makes him think he can keep his job as an independent? Funny how trudope was oblivious to all this and denied any responsibility.

That was enough to get parliament to vote for an actual investigation. Maybe this is the end of our stupid little potato 🤞🤞🤞. Just had a thought, wouldn’t it be sweet to see him hauled off in cuffs after the media was saying Trump was going to be 😂😂😂😂
