Just wondering if anyone has, or has used, a Huck gun, especially with the Magnagrip type fasteners like Peterbilt and Freightliner cabs and Timpte and probably Wilson grain trailers? These are very expensive and the nose pieces are very expensive as well. I would like to get one, but don't want to order one and find out later that it is the wrong one. I also know there are some listed on Ebay that say they are for the cabs, has anyone bought them? How did that work out? For all I need to do it is not really fiscally responsible, but taking stuff over to Peterbilt will cost a lot too, and the long term analysis may be that it does make sense to get one, especially if I put a value on my time.

I've never used a huck gun but I do see that there are manual units that are made for the smaller huck bolts but have to wonder how they can get enough force. Trying to wade though the bs online and find out what is worth owning if its a cheapy of anything is more than a challenge for sure.

Not sure what I would ever need one for. I just use bolts if I have to remove a huck bolt for something. Talk to guys in semi shops and that’s what they do also.

Yes, that was what I was thinking too, I was looking at carriage and the bolts with the splines and smooth round tops as a replacement for small fixes.

Just be carful if you ever have to cut one off. Big or small they come apart quick.
