Any thoughts on which is the best value for 2.5" air seeder hose? The greenline PVC stuff doesn't seem to be lasting like it used to although it's definitely the cheapest. The bourgault stuff is pushing $9-10/foot but easy to work with. At JD today and they have something I never got to see that is somewhere in between. Not sure what other options are out there.

We use the knock off bourgault hose. Can’t remember the name of it. Easy to work with and last way better then the cheap stuff that’s half the price. I’m actually thinking about getting some stainless pipe made up for the spots that have a sharp bend that always wear out the hose.
I also use a wire wheel on the pipe if it’s got some paint bubbles and rust forming then repaint them if I’m changing hose before the season. Then put some grease on them so they are easy to take off next time. We try to rotate the hose 1/2 way through the season to help it last.
Kanaflex is the brand of hose we use. Was $5 a foot last spring. No idea what it will be this year

The JD stuff ended up looking the same as the expensive BG hose, I honestly couldn't tell the difference. So went that route, time will tell how it installs in spring and hopefully it has good durability.

I see this is an older post. How did that JD air hose work out for you? They have a mid and higher priced hose. Not sure which one you went with. Bourg hose is crazy expensive and Bourg units seem to be very hard on hose.

Do you think Bourgault is harder on hoses than other drills? I’ve only ever used Bourgault so can’t make a comparison, never thought them to be too bad as long as you have them routed right, but then we likely don’t put as many acres on as some do.

I use the standard John Deere hose sold at the dealer . It’s by no means good quality . I can put about 2500 acres of oats thru it and than it’s shot . I have tried turning it but , to tell you the truth once the hose is stuck on I like to leave it alone. The last thing I need is one hose blowing off at night because it was loose from turning! It’s interesting how the effectiveness of the hose is so poor considering I have 6 hoses leading from the tank to the drill . Basically every two years I am replacing hose . Also , to point out I am just putting oats and 11-52 thru . No nitrogen. My bourgault hose lasted longer . Simply because bourgault carts have more piping !

Pretty sure it was the mid-level hose and it is still in storage, figured I would leave the Bourgault stuff on there for a season and as soon as one wore through I would change them all, went the whole season without issue.
