This week I got word that our locally owned new Holland dealer got bought out by the guys who own redhead equipment. Hopefully things don’t change too much as they were always great to deal with and I knew the owners of the three Farm world stores.
We are still lucky that our agco and claas dealer are locally owned independent stores still. Ag world (agco) did change ownership This summer but it was a couple of brothers not far away that farm that bought them.

Disappointing. I deal with farm world in Humboldt a bit, and I felt that they really started to turn things around. I found their parts prices decent and their service better as of late. But the money they spent on dirt work for that building you'd have to do twice the business they did to pay for that alone.

Around here the opposite happened. The larger dealership, Robertson, ended up selling their Taber dealership to Vanee, who are a local company owning just a few dealerships in southern Alberta. So far it's been a good transition. I heard Robertson was bought out by Rocky Mountain.

I heard Robertson was bought out by Rocky Mountain. I heard RME bought more dealers, this is probably the ones then. One has to wonder if there are any examples of big entities breaking apart into smaller pieces lately, the bigger things get always works out poorly for the consumer despite how it is advertised. Greed is a terrible thing...

When Moodys went boom novlans at parasite hill bought the lloydminster dealership provided they took the Battleford one too. Seems to be an improvement so far.
