More Macdon questions: Anyone ever have a flexdraper that the wing float got really stiff? Almost impossible to move it with the wrench but it does appear to be flexing in the field. Two pivot points on the top have always been well greased, could it be the bottom pivot on rear or something in the front? Hopefully it's not something with that linkage, never could figure that out. This particular head seems to be fairly straight when off the ground, other one has a frown. Both worked well last fall, don't think I have run them into anything...ha ha

I have heard guys talk about linkages binding and causing issues. Never seen it myself.

I just replaced the hex shafts and fresh grease on everything. Definitely something that could be an issue though if not moving freely though.

I had this issue in colder weather. It was the pea augers binding on the slide. Some fresh grease and voila!

It was pea augers, I guess running in a dust cloud all day doing peas makes it dirty....who knew?
I will grease daily now.
