I know this topic has been discussed before, but since an fd140 are nearly impossible to get, was wondering if an air flex would do for the time being. Was reading on the old site, would like to get some opinions if anybody has run both. I have a 30ft rigid honeybee and it has been very good.

I have run both, they both have good and bad points and I probably have a more detailed list of pros and cons on the other site and could do another here when I get more time.
To me the Macdon doesn't cut as low but because it is a floating header it can handle drainage ditches and wild terrain better without scooping dirt. The Airflex was better in many other ways including getting close to ground though but I would watch the bearings on the push-rods that drive the wobble box. Parts are harder to come by for the Airflex around here as well.

Most of my land is flat with gentle water runoff ravines. I have been using a 30ft rigid draper for years and works ok, I just have to follow each side of the ravines.
