Not sure if it’s really a saying, but my grandpa used to say you should always have your wheat in before the leaves come out on the trees.
I was seeding wheat today, there are leaves on the trees. I will give a follow up in the fall to if this saying has any merit.😉

Haha Dad said don't seed before the leaves come out and don't seed wheat after May 10th. We don't grow wheat here, lol. |
