I am considering trading my 2010 cr 9080 for a 2012 cr9090. Both machines have Asp stone protection. The 9090 has twin pitch rotors and intellicruise. What other changes did New holland make that are notable?

Bump. I take it from the lack of replies that these 2 combines are basically the same?

Would the 2012 have def? We had a 2013 Cx that had it but that may have been the first yet for def.

The cr got def before the CX did. The CX was still running a tier 4A engine till a couple years ago in the elevation models.
Won’t be a lot of difference between those two combines. I have run both but not side by side.
The twin pitch rotors would be biggest thing along with a few updates. My uncle had intellicruise on his 9090 but never used it. It just goes off engine power and our crops are too variable for it. My cousin tried using it a couple times and along with trying to keep up with our 780 claas he ended up plugged fairly good both times.

Watch out for the brutal slow transport speed if it's a elevation model. I had 2014 CR9090's and they were maybe 16.5mph on the road(can't remember for sure) and could not be changed. Also hopper could not be extended because they were the auto-fold style that tipped inward at the top. I would seriously look for a DSP model, but they are hard to find.

I'm now considering a 2014 Cr9090 with 1800 seperator hours versus 2700 on my 9080. It has Dsp and twin pitch rotors. I don't know if I like the extra complexity of Opti-spread versus the deluxe chopper on the 9080. It is also a Belgium build...what's the difference?

Belgium build should be an elevation model which would be a big upgrade over a 9080
Opti-spread works good and is easy to adjust for changing conditions. My uncle never had much trouble with his that I know of in 1500 separator hours.
