I own a 9510r John Deere 4 wheel drive which currently has the OEM 7 inch touch screen mounted on the front of the arm rest console. I plan to replace that monitor with my new 4640 touch screen there by reducing the monitors in my cab to one. I run a John deere disk drill so one monitor is really handy and would eliminate reaching over to the corner post mounted screen. I find it ackward and when seeding I dont want to make mistakes especially at night.
Has anybody successfully updated this change? I was told by one sales guy it could not be done and others say it can be done.
My 2016 S680 combine has the 2630 screen mounted on the arm rest so I dont know why the 4640 could not be done the same way on my tractor. I am assuming there must be a different mounting bracket and wire harness.
Any help would be appreciated. thanks
