Has anyone else with a s780 have issues with corn residue blocking the airflow on the perforated cleaning fan shields? Certain hybrids on dry afternoon days cause the airflow to drop to chaffer/sieve area, causing grain loss. It seems that the inner duals(run 650/85 r38 set-up) pick up some trash off the ground from the corn head and this gets sucked up against the fan shields. Stopping the separator completely and letting the trash fall to the ground fixes the problem but only temporarily. Some of the cleaning fan shields are solid-not perforated. Was wondering if all the shields were perforated, maybe the velocity of airflow would be less and trash would not get sucked to the shields, thus keeping sufficient air to cleaning shoe. Or maybe some type of inner fender for the inside dual to block trash moving to cleaning shoe fan shields would solve problem. Grain loss goes up substantially when shields get covered even though air can still enter the fan from over the top of the shields and stopping the separator multiple times is hard on productivity.
