Well since the big crop is burning a hole in my wallet ! lol and contray to what the wife thinks , I was looking at buying an Indian Motor cycle. I was looking at the vintage look of the Scout Bobber Twenty. I was looking for a bike for short trips and still have a cool fun factor and something not too big and clunky.
Curious what other forum members have for bikes and if any of you are fans of the Indian Motorcycle. Maybe cptusa could comment on the Indian since he is close by the Spirit Lake Indian Plant.
What are the pros and cons of these bikes or which bikes are similar in the fun factor. I like the fact these bikes were used in the War and have proven the test of time. Also , are these new designed bikes and when did they start these models again.
My neighbour uses his Harley for scouting his fields which looks very amusing with his black leather jacket and black boots.
The order dates are slow so was thinking of ordering this fall for next spring.
Oh also how much engine power is adequate for highway driving and passing vehicles at 100km/hour?

Haha, wrong guy to ask about two wheel death machines. Scraped enough bikers up I won't touch one.

I have a Suzuki Boulevard C109RT. I like it but it would fall in your big and clunky category. I also have a Can-Am Spyder RT. It is not as much fun to ride but it is way more comfortable for me and has a lot features that I really like cruise control and reverse. Unfortunately both bikes are at my home in Texas and I have not seen them for over two years. Riding down there is one of my favourite pastimes as there are lots of great twisty and scenic roads to explore. Check out Twisted Sisters in Texas Hill Country. I also belonged to a motorcycle group down there and they were always organizing rides, so I got to meet lots of nice people, see a lot of different country and eat at a lot of places that I would never have found otherwise. Man do I miss that, hopefully we can go back down there this winter. Attachments:

Is this your first bike? In my opinion I wouldnt start with a fast or nice bike to learn on but that's just me. I bought a cheap 500 to learn on and then sold it after 6 months for what I paid for it before moving up after putting 5k on it. Dont know much about Indian motorcycles, sport bikes are more my thing, but I found this site very helpful in picking the model I wanted: cycle-ergo.com/ I would also highly recommend frame sliders, we had our whole row of bikes tipped by some drunks and mine was the only undamaged one because I had them. I dont think you'll have any problem passing with that bike, especially if you drop a couple gears

I have a 1975 Kawasaki KH500, 3 cylinder 2 stroke. My Father bought it in 1980 and I bought it from him in the nineties.

Well a tandem trailer of oats at 8 bucks get me a new scout bobber twenty. Seems like a fair deal! Hey general I was also looking at Kawaski. cool bike , I was looking at some at avenue polaris. Too bad they dont have the Indian brand. They said Polaris had to make the decision of dropping Victory in favour of Indian, but Avenue polaris does not have the rights to sell indian. Its a 4 month wait if your lucky so Headingly sport said order before the new year, for spring.

Has anyone tried OUT Polaris's timbresled? Looks like an exciting bike to drive in the the snow. Wondered how the ride is compared to a snowmobile? I am too old for these bikes but they sure look like it would be fun.

Could be fun, but getting old enough that stuff hurts more than it used to, look like a guy could really get hurt on one. A guy here has something like that, not sure what make it is, or even if there are other makes?? He really likes it. Think it’s more something to play around on, not really for riding much distance.

More like a dirt bike then a sled. Guys that I know have them like them for mountains. But not an all day ride like a sled.
