Welcome jeremias to the combine forum. It sounds like you cable is loose or not adjusted properly on your hydro drive lever. I have had to replace that on my multifunctional lever on my deeres. If your running hills I would want that working right!

No cable on these machines. It's all electric. Have you run a calibration on your hydro lever? It's also possible the potentiometer on the hydro lever is not working quite right. But to me it sounds more like a hydraulic problem.

This was discussed a bit on a new holland Facebook group and the general consensus was that it was the first sign of a hydro getting weak. Might want to get the pressures checked, and try not to go down hills with full stick ahead, sounded like things could get ugly when it freewheels and catches hard. Hope it's not that but it's the main explanation ive heard

Thanks guys ... yeah it is the hydraulic pump giving up lots of filings in the hydraulic filter... not a cheap fix that's for sure .

What year would that be? I think that you can put the hydro system from newer combines on and it supposed to be better. Although by the time the hydro is worn out again the rest of the machine might be worn out anyways

We've had the hydro pumps rebuilt on our patriot sprayer by the dealer. It was about $10k with labor. Expensive, but way cheaper than a new combine!
Hydro systems are pretty amazing. At 6000 psi it's amazing the last as long as they do before catastrophic failure! Any foreign material at all and that's like an abrasive cutting jet at those pressures.

Ok, I think that "should" be the better one already. I think it switched around 2006-7 if the cx is similar to cr

Yeah some hydros last the life of the machine ,others are weaker just the way it is I guess . Flush the whole system is what you do, oilcooler, lines, bottom motor at the transmission, ect or it'll come back.
