Was told today urea prices are paused right now because of shipping disruptions at gulf coast. He figured at least $100/tonne higher when new pricing comes out.

Nh3 at $2410 /t now. I hate to say it but in a weird twisted way I hope fertilizer doesn't come down too much because that will mean grain prices will have collapsed. Good idea to buy ahead if you think its a deal, same as selling ahead, its all relative I guess the way it works.

I was advised today it is now well under $1000/tonne now for urea summer fill. Must be panic setting in or something, maybe grain prices are about to tank???

Yeah. Just because some crop is in the ground the buyers or market analyst think there’s going to be ample crop in three months. They forget lots can happen in that time. Not to mention there’s no crop in the pipe right now. After this last rain since Saturday we had over 3” water coming off the fields like spring.

Urea, 885 and 895 for July and August pickup was what I was quoted yesterday. Still too high but when have us farmers ever said it's too low?

850 give or take depending on the dealer today for summer fill. It is trending lower but so are grain prices. One guy figured now is the time to buy, and often these guys have inside info since the market is rigged...ha ha

Must be true about 46-0-0. I heard locally 46-0-0 dropped 30% . Is that because of less corn acres in the states or a lot od shorter day corn being planted. Cpt usa would have a better idea.! Next to no corn around my parts. Guys taking a year off. Not seen that drop in nh3 yet.

Anyone have recent fertilizer quotes? According to DTN prices are slowly dropping but everything here keeps rising. Urea 705 to 750 and phos 1125ish right now. Works out to about 60k more now than in December for what we need. Must be because grain prices are so strong and demand for natural gas is off the charts due to this harsh winter weather. Don't think it's due to, "supply and demand ", or, "production issues" in a,b,c,or d. It's dry, the mountain snow pack is low, and nobody I have talked to is planning on increasing rates over last year so what gives?

It’s Trumps fault. Or Putin. Climate change. Take your pick.

Or possibly it’s not going up, it’s just a right wing conspiracy theory 🤷♂️

$700 urea and $1150 MAP last week. Phos has been stable for a long time. Urea is harder to predict other than summer fill is almost always best.
