We have a 2001 Stx440 and all 4 hydraulic remotes have problems with sinking. Replaced a load check valve on one of them and it didn't fix the problem although I can't be sure it didn't help. Has anyone had problems like this?

The 2005 stx 450 I have does that, will leak down regardless if tractor is running or not. Never actually thought about dealing with it yet. Just assumed some orings are getting wore and spool not sealing properly when in neutral thus allowing oil to leak past. In about 5 minutes after lifting the drill out of the ground the discs will be back on the ground.
Figure I need to rebuild the scvs someday to fix it.

If you reverse the lines does it still do it?

I run mine with the hoses reversed so that is probably my issue. Never thought about the load check valve being out of the picture with the lines reversed. It will be another week or two before I get the tractor and drill out and hooked up. Will try running the lines the other way just to see. I like pulling back on the switches to drop the drill, puts my thumb right on top of the switch to turn on clutch for air tank.

Finally had a chance to check and yes it sinks with the hydraulics switched / either way.
