Equipment is high here, with the online auctions there are no bargains anymore, also the higher grain prices are not helping.

Exhaust tube circled. 4 ish inches diameter by 18-24" ish long. $1125. I would definitely look around. Try going to a Donaldson's website, they make a majority of that stuff for the dealers anyway. We had to put a new muffler on our 9680 a few years ago, don't remember the dealer price, but it was ugly, went and bought a regular truck muffler, took it to local welder with the old muffler for measurements, and for less than a quarter of the price had the exact same thing.

I think we might have lucked out on this unit. Not sure if it is because it's too old and small for big farms and too big for some small farms, I don't know. I have been looking around and what we paid for the complete unit was less than other sales are getting for just the tank or just the drill, and seen a couple of drills like our old one that we aren't going to use anymore selling for close to what we paid, and that's just for the cultivator. Making me a little nervous if there was something we missed, but we checked it out pretty good. Guess time will tell.

I’d say your right. Two small for big guys and too big for the smaller outfits. Hope everything turns out for you on your new drill. It’s crazy what some stuff at auction will go for.

Oh yeah, I'm going to exhaust other options first. Don't need this tractor until hay mowing and side dress season. Any junk yard I've tried is out of stock. Have an excellent semi local fab shop I'm going to try whenever I get the old one pulled off.

If you need a new Jd tractor for next year seeding, deere says they need an order now to ensure delivery for next spring. Deere says there plant is working full swing now to keep up to demand.
Hey CPTusa I was told by a deere rep that the united states government is handing out plenty of money to farmers and farmers are turning around and spending it on new iron. Is that kind of true? I suspect when U S inventory of iron is reduced they will raid our canadian dealership lots to a greater extent than now.
With all the current pent up demand and increase debt we take on is there a worry that we are heading into a situation that hit farms in the 1980s. In regards to parts shortages, I just hope a part like a circuit board that controls your transmission is not out of stock!

Well compared to last year the government is being pretty stingy...
Last year government receipts for me were right at $100/acre.
This year we've been to the trough for $20/acre, but wait, there's more!
Paycheck protection program "loans" can be applied for twice basically equating to $20833 each time. "Loans " are at 1% for 5 years IF you don't qualify for forgiveness which IF I understand correctly that the money is used for mortgage interest or rent payments and there was at least 1 quarter in 2020 lower then the same quarter in 2019 one can get forgiveness.
But we all know Uncle Sam giveth and Uncle Sam taketh and with sleepy Joe and the ho along with the wicked witch of the west and Chuck-you Schumer controlling the purse string and taxation we all just as well stamp rich on our asses because that's what they think we are.
But wait, there's more!
Biden also handed out $1400/head to any single person making $75k or less and any couple making $150k or less, children included. In theory my family of 7 should've got $9800 but my adjusted gross income was $159k so Biden declared me 90.75% rich and only issued me $906.50. According to the government a couple making $149999 gets $2800 and a family of 7 making less then $9000 more gets $906.50 because clearly it takes less then $9000/year to raise 5 kids. But what would democrats know about raising a family, they just abort them.
I'm done now.
