Looking at installing a base station for RTK & was wondering about the aerial type on the base. I know 9bdi give good (long) range but there’s a compromise when the signal has to “bend” over hills & trees. Usually run 6.6dbi aerials on machines. Is there a problem if the transmitting aerial & the receiving aerials are not the same dbi?

No problem whatsoever. Only way there is a problem with mismatched gains is if you doing 2 way communication. But since rtk is only one way it wont matter.
