If you want the service tools they really aren’t that hard to find. Also there are a lot of techs that can’t tell you what’s wrong with something with the service tools so to the common person I’m not sure what help it would be. There are lots of guys that could benefit from using them but like I said they aren’t hard to come by or that expensive.

I don't remember where I heard of this, but what I heard is the JD right to repair is more aimed at protecting the propriety Canbus protocols. I do agree completely with Meskie though. These trained mechanics are pretty much useless. My way of thinking when dealing with dealerships is I have about a thousand bucks to play with, basically what Edmonton Kubota charges to show up at my yard. Now I don't have the software or hardware to do any diagnosis, but I do know more than some of these guys. So I can do the same guessing and throwing parts at it hoping to get it right and have a thousand buck buffer.
