Hockey season has officially started after my son played his first game tonight. Came away with a 7-5 win. He even got his name on the score sheet a couple times and now leads the team…… in penalty minutes.

Did he get a Gordie Howe hat trick? Trivia time: how many Gordie Howe hat tricks did Gordie Howe get? Just 2 fantom double minors for head contact. I guess when you’re 6’1 and hitting guys that are shorter their head gets in the way according to the ref. He hit a guy square in the chest on one and the other he pushed a kid out of the front of the net. But with the one ref it’s not surprising you never know what he is going to call. Most other ones you have an idea. |

 my son decided he wanted to be a hunter this year. He was out with his cousins and uncle a couple times and finally got one on the last day of deer season. Perfect heart shot from 300 yards. |

Wow, that's quite the shot. He might be hooked now. It's pretty fun and I've been guilty more than once planning farming around hunting/fishing. ☺

I wish I could have planned farming around hunting this year but it just wasn’t possible, then for the little bit I did get out was pretty hard to enjoy it wondering if there was anything else heating. I love deer hunting but very few of my hunting stories involves actually shooting anything! lol. Sure weren’t many deer around this year, most guys got something it sounds like but they didn’t see much either.

You know hunting season is over when I saw 6 deer standing in the field this morning. And a decent sized buck just behind the yard.

We've got an albino deer living a mile or so from me now. That one kind of stands out, illegal to shoot. |

Hmmm, an albino deer, that would sure be handy for those years when there’s no snow during deer season 🤔. It’s amazing how well a deer can blend into its surroundings.
