Those model rail roads are about the neatest things built. I could admire those for hours.

Went for a ride on my fat bike yesterday, only second time out on it this winter, never rode last winter as it was always so cold. Yesterday was my birthday, but today I feel older. Do you feel older because of the birthday or because of the ride on the fat bike?

Fat bike, definitely. I refuse to grow up. My daughter asked me how old I was yesterday, I told her I was old enough to know better.

Went for a ride on the snowmobile today, I am thinking there is more snow on the fields this year, unlike last year when it blew into the bush. Couldn't go across most fields last year but it is good to go this year.

We had good snow for snowmobiling, but now it is getting sparse in places. It feels nice outside, but I wish it stayed a little cooler for a bit.

Still pretty good riding here but won’t take long to go down if we don’t get some more soon. Last few days have been just about zero and sunny, not melting a lot but anything sticking through the snow is making it melt pretty good, more heat in the sun now. We’re having our poker derby on the 19th, hopefully have enough for that, has been a few years now since we’ve had one with covid and a few years of no snow.

Hey Kevlar, our family was up your way again in January, rented a cabin for a week and did a bunch of hiking, biking, skating, cross country skiing. I would've contacted you again to join me for a bike ride but at the time you were mentioning here you were feeling ill so I left it alone. I went for a night ride while we were there, the most fun ride of my life I think. The weather and the trail were very awesome and with all the snow in the trees reflecting countless flashes per second it made for a rare experience.

You should have called, I can’t remember who all was sick at that time. Mind you, you might have had to pull me back, pretty embarrassing after my last ride 😬. Those trails look pretty good in the park, I’ve never rode them. I really like night riding, so peaceful. My night rides are just from home and down the TransCanada trail so not the nice bush trail like in your picture. What kind of headlight do you have, that thing looks awesome! Mine gives off maybe half that much light and is more of a blueish colour with it being led.

Shoot, sorry.
Headlight is a Bontrager that’s rechargeable and just clamps on the handlebar. It’s from A&L so like most of their stuff it’s good quality but kinda pricey.

Wow! Where you catching those? Undisclosed, ha. The pike was on Turtle just yesterday. As for the trout, Saskfisheries stocks tons of little lakes. saskborder.com/fishing

Most of the summer is out by Crystal Lake/Preeceville/Kamsack. I 100% didn't know Lady Lake was stocked with exotic trouts. Now I have some plans for summer

Went for my first motorcycle ride of the year Saturday, was a perfect day for it. Raced a snowmobile which I figure probably doesn’t happen very often haha

Pretty good riding the other day, went scouting out the trail I’m going to make for our poker derby on Sunday, but unfortunately the wind has gotten really wild this afternoon and evening, my wife was just out and said the road is getting bad, might be blocked by morning. Stopped by one of dad’s friends cabin who passed away 3-4 years ago now, I rode miles and miles with him over the years. Normally it would have been all packed down, I was the first person in there on a sled this year. A beautiful cabin that never really gets used anymore. When I stopped at his cabin, I couldn’t have got the speedometer more perfect! lol poems about bravery
