I went into Wpg last week and picked up a bar of silver at Gatewest. Other than having to wear a mask it was quick and painless. Maybe I need to pay them a visit, buy some more while price is good and pick up what I am owed...

Thanks generalchaos , good to know. I to would like to know the form of payment. With Scotia they want a bank draft.
Interesting Kenmb about palladium. A local chevy dealer said the low vehicle supply is because of a lack computer chip production. Apparently lots of vechiles are assembled but are waiting for these chips to complete production. Is palladium used for these chips, I dont know but the scourge has slowed down car production.

I paid cash but they also take payment by debit card. I believe those are the only forms of payment they take.

Don't see mention of palladium in chips Oatking. Touch screens, catalytic converters get mentioned though. But there seems no shortage of reasons to explain something is in short supply. My guess is being a communist country, and many key things are made there, the "communists" can make and ship what they want, when they want. It used to be politicians were in place to manage the affairs of a country and ensure their country can't be held hostage by foreign entities acting in bad faith. I wonder if our politicians will ever figure this out. My bet is they know it all very well, and have laid the ground work for exactly these kinds of made up shortages. Saw this article tonight. I just can't get it. So you make something digital, meaning there are an infinite more that can be created, yet there is apparently a market because there is the only one property like it so buy now. Seems fitting for the thread. www.zerohedge.com/personal-finance/people-are-snapping-virtual-land-hotcakes-and-now-theres-fund

My god, is that for real? Am I missing something? Sounds like the Pet Rock thing years ago, but even more stupid. I guess that saying about a fool and his money will soon be parted applies here, but somehow the fools keep making more money.

Another example of more insanity for an insane world Kevlar. The funny thing is, a lot of people don't understand how insane our world truly is. As long as the media tells people how to think, how to perceive things, what is good and what is bad - then it is not seen how insane things truly are. As I often mention, the fall back position of the vast majority of people is that if it was insane, corrupt, impractical, improper, non sensical - whatever - then our government would have changed it long ago. And in that reality, if I point out how truly in-your-face the truth is then it is just conspiracy talk. If it was that insane then it would have been changed long ago is the defense offered. No thinking required.
It's a fitting article for a Bitcoin discussion. Helps drive the point home. We see how people pursue and desire what in reality is insanity. It's quite the physiological manipulation being conducted on people. I always considered Bitcoin as a psy-op, but that can only be proven true if sanity ever takes hold.

Maybe when the survivors of the "Great Reset" are in the "Matrix", Bitcoin and this Virtual land will be of value,
In my world they are just thoughts.

But isn’t it fraud to sell something that doesn’t exist? Maybe it’s a good time to sell my herd of unicorns? Better cash in before all the brain dead twits run out of money.

I quite enjoy reading comments on Zerohedge, kind of restores my faith in humanity. First one was "People are too stupid to live"... Actually reading the comments would indicate that people aren't so stupid, and maybe all this nonsense going on right now is a show to WAKE EVERYONE UP. You might be right Ken.

Yeah, I got a chuckle reading some of the comments last night in that article. And is exactly why most of our mainstream "news" sites have disbanded all commentary.
I see xrp had an interesting close on Friday, up 11%. Some people claim this is a crypto technology that has a future in a sane world. Not as a cryptocurrency as it exists now, but as a technology for conducting business. So owning some now may end up like owning shares in a company who is just starting out. Don't know how that would actually work in practice, but one more item to follow. See if xrp moves differently than other cryptos.

This article is pretty good at talking about the big picture. The author talks about grains too since it is the same mechanisms at work but perhaps being on a farm forum it helps to see the truth through the lenses of grain marketing. www.zerohedge.com/markets/comexposed-how-hateful-8-kill-free-market-price-discoveryHopefully people understand all this by now as it is pretty important. When central banks control the economy via quantitative easing (money printing / counterfeiting) and manipulation of interest rates using that ability, then we don't have free markets - everything is planned. And since the big banks are just an extension of this (they are not competing but are partners) then their participation in any market, such as commodity trading, is also an arm of the manipulation. It comes back to discussion of why are grain prices going up and considering that when you are discussing a system designed to be manipulated, then trying to apply real life data and events to explain the price change in a manipulated market is kind of pointless. Prices will go up because that is the desired result. It is why I mention concerns about "news" regarding food costs coming out soon and inevitable government intervention needed to stop it. No, the manipulation won't stop. Infinite wealth created out of thin air buying infinite paper contracts to throw at the market while the people who regulate the market also make adjustments for the desired outcome all means it won't end. There is no breaking point. The only way it ends is if the whole system is taken down. And I am of the opinion there won't be a grandiose announcement of this happening to give advance notice, that would be utter pandemonium. I suspect if it is ever changed, it would be more subtle. After all, the vast majority of people beleive our present system is legitimate and functions as free market capitalism, so why blow it up. Therefore it may actually be easy to change more subtly. A few things I note today: -xrp up again -platinum on one of the charts in article is the second most heavily involved commodity by the big banks -silver gold bull in just about at 2 pages of all gold offerings and silver fits on 5 pages with no placeholder offerings with statements of out of stock till further notice - just gone and so why the pages keep getting smaller. With all that said, if we accept that everything is controlled and that means the news too, then we also need to question how accurate any data is in any given article like the one in the link. Who really knows. And it doesn't matter where the author sources their data because it still brings into question who printed the raw numbers. It's like looking at official USDA numbers or StatsCan and saying they must be correct because the government issued them. If you really understand that 2 minute video I put in the Trump thread last night then you will get it. And maybe you will start understanding how extensive the propaganda really is. If it creates a fake reality then it is pretty extensive, as in everywhere.
