Here's a question. We just pulled our new to us 9880 into our shop to "Monster Garage" it. It has a hydraulic steering valve set up from one of it's previous owners, the guy we bought it from never used it. I believe it was set up to work with an Outback system as there is a sticker on the window. I don't see any Outback markings on this valve so started to wonder if it could be used with our EZ Guide systems? Are they kind of a generic deal? Here is our set up for tractors for this year, should have had the old 895 parked there too, which is finally going into semi-retirement.

I would think it is a generic valve sold by outback as I am pretty sure outback does not make thier own valves. Should be able to tie into another gps without too much trouble.

Well, have to give Ag Express two thumbs up. Called today, had a couple things wrong with it, one being a internal fuse blown, the other was the power port was broken or twisted a bit, likely causing the blown fuse. He said over tightening causes that but we just do them finger tight so not sure how that happened. He also updated something in the circuit board. All for a grand total of $210 US. I guess Captain was right, you guys from Iowa are decent people! lol Sure nice to deal with, would definitely recommend them.

How did shipping work out for you? Curious if there were any extra charges involved from Canada post or whomever you got.

Just off the top of my head it was around $50 total through Purolator. Of that roughly 40 was for the freight and 10 was for the box and bubble wrap I needed to ship it. Can't remember exactly but was 3-4 days to get it there. They shipped it out 2 days ago but got and email saying it has been delayed a bit because of weather. I have a tracking number but never bothered to see where it is, they have a couple months to get it here before we need it anyway! Never heard anything because of Covid. I asked the lady at Purolator if they were having any issues because of Covid and she said not really. I still believe most of the price gouging IE lumber, is just gouging plain and simple.
Biggest issue was with my VISA. Don't use it much. Gave him all the info he needed, kept saying he couldn't use it. He kept trying for a day, called me back and said I had to try sort it out with them, turns out they quit honoring the cards from RONA where I had gotten mine, apparently they did this a few months ago, and I never received any notice about it. I'm done with VISA now. A year or so ago I saw on the news how Desgardins cards had been compromised and many cardholders info was stolen. I called them and they assured me mine hadn't been, I asked why I hadn't been notified, no reply. A little while later I got a notice that ALL Desgardins members info had been stolen. I called back and told them how I felt. Then they did this, so I'm now looking for a new card.

Was talking with Ag Express this fall about getting the corner post display fixed on the Steiger. Would have been cheaper to do it that way as the new one through Case required a service tech to come out and program it. Decided to go with the new one since there are some revisions over the years. I don't mind remanufactured because that implies something failed and could be a design defect that was identified. In my case, it was a new display. So on a 15 year old unit, I figured maybe worth the extra bucks if I keep the tractor another 15 years.
Shipped a home stereo amp down to California few weeks back for repair via Fed Ex. No issues. Less than a week to get where it was going just like the estimated time frame said when the unit was first scanned for shipping. Not much for charges on any items at the border because it is for repair so carries no real value. And if made in the US or Canada, then that takes care of another possible avenue of extra charges since free trade comes into play.
