Has anyone here been to New Zeeland and travelled the country there? What is the agriculture like? Is it more livestock than grain ? Seems like it would be a great place to escape to.

Like permanently? Or just a holiday? I looked into there a few years ago when it became obvious Canada was going into the crapper, I doubt New Zealand is the solution to get away from Liberals. Beautiful country though, lots of sheep it looks like and mixed farms. Property seemed expensive, kinda like everywhere else. For a holiday it's a killer of a flight. Maybe the guys from Oz on here can correct my interpretations about New Zealand...ha ha

It's a beautiful country and very scenic, great to travel around and an outdoor adventure paradise. Fishing is fantastic! Unfortunately it is now run by minorities and yes it's fast going to the crapper politically (half of the parliament are LGBTI). Political Correctness and Bleeding Heart Liberalism are social necessities there and their current leader is a paid up Marxist! It's a big Dairy farm and fat lamb producing country and one of the best grass-pasture growing countries on earth. Temperatures are mild and rainfall reliable. Stocking rates are very high. Hence the high land prices. It's generally not a huge grain growing country and most of what it grows is in the South Island in the Canterbury province. Yields can be huge however and each year they challenge the U.K. for the world record in Wheat. Corn is grown in the North Island where it receives more heat units, mainly for whole crop silage and yields are phenomenal.

Not a holiday, but have done some reading and it sounds like socialism issues there also. Maybe farming for the Russian mob wouldn’t be that bad? Go there instead

If you are looking for a place to farm I would look at the US, they seem to treat their farmers with a bit more respect. Just look at the difference in commodity prices Canada and the US. For a holiday, I would go to NZ in a heart beat. Do your homework if you are looking at making a living, doesn't matter what you plan to do.

I would not farm anywhere but Canada. But of corse good black fertile soil. So basically the RRV.

If you want to escape the banking cartel which is the root cause of all the economic destruction to the middle and business class you have three options: >Cuba >Iran >North Korea Probably not the three countries at the top of your list but those are the only three central banks not controlled by the Rothschild's. Brings new meaning to "we are all in this together". Couple this with the burdensome debt in almost every nation there isn't really any option other than to fall in line for our "leaders".
So my take is nowhere is perfect, but home is home. In the past it was possible to re-locate and build a better life for your family, but those days are over I'm afraid. World is changing fast.

Yea that’s what I was thinking, no good options. Unless cash out, buy gold and live on an island fishing and drinking beer.
