I’m after an app programmer that can update my HarvestCalc app when required. harvestcalc.com/The bloke who used to do it has had a serious accident & unfortunately can’t do any more work. I’m not going down the road of throwing the idea on a app programmer forum where self described app experts bid for the work! I don’t give a f..k if it’s not “politically correct” ...... but I want someone who speaks English, understands English......is someone I trust to do the work required, as & when required, in the time required ....... & doesn’t think they can bend me over & reem me up the freckle on pricing! So if anyone on this forum knows of someone that fits this criteria ....... feel free to let me know. I have all the source code ...... so they don’t have to re-invent the wheel here.

Ha, that sounds like me trying to find a family doctor. I have the same criterial, especially on the bending over part! Anyways a couple of questions. I only see it for IOs, does it work on android too or what are you using? Most importantly what exactly was your guy updating? Seems to me it is just a simple calculator or am I mistaken? I found this that seems awful similar. www.agphd.com/resources/ag-phd-mobile-apps/ag-phd-harvest-loss-calculator/Since you have the source code, that is a huge plus. Just need to know what he was doing to it.

One of the updates required is for the “forever” IOS updates! The other is to make it “dual platform”....... other is graphing improvements........ another is input of any sized tray .... another is weight of grains.
And it’s not like the hypertext one. This takes into account the full ownership & operational (O&O) costs of your machine. It’s about maximising the efficiency of your machine whilst accounting for the losses.

I watched the video and kinda dont get what the app is suppose to tell you. Instead of finding out how much you are throwing out the back end just use the yield monitor. I did this a couple years ago with barley and did a round at different engine load. Under 70% was better than at 80% by 2bu and at 100% was 10bu less. Just fool around with the screen abit. Do a set number of acres at different speeds and see what the yield monitor says then go what you are happy with. Then its what Mike Mitchell says in one of his videos where at the beginning of the season want to get under a bushel of loss and by the end you just want to be done with harvest and just push it and dont care that its throwing out 6bu.
