Would 6" exhaust flex pipe work?

It would. But it would be hard to move around or flex. The hose that came with the vac lasted 20 years. The ones that I bought to replace lasted 2 years. Complete garbage!!

There are different strengths of that pipe, even for exhaust I use the double wrap stainless but some is better than others. The narrower the spirals usually the better the pipe can flex, but quality varies by manufacturer.

Anyone using this piece? I thought maybe Kevlar or one of you guys posted it in the old forum and ordered one. grainsystems.ca/flex_hose.htmlA 7" x 8ft with 3 flex sections is $770 so not bad if it lasts many years. I don't actually use the flex hose but fight with the steel hose when opening up the door area. Rest of bin gets cleaned up using the steel hose and the floor/pile nozzle I made up. The rubber flex hose is too floppy for some of the stuff I could use it for so this might be something I could make use of.

No, wasn't me, but it looks like it would work good. I haven't had to but the rubber hose now for a few years, but that price is probably close to what just the rubber hose would cost now.

Think this must be the thread I am thinking of, Joe commented that they use that sectioned flex hose www.thecombineforum.com/threads/7%E2%80%9D-grain-vac-flex-pipe.330729/#post-3307541Dad pancaked our flex hose on the Brandt many years ago, thought he said the new one was $1000 or something. I think I will be getting one of these three segment hoses this summer. Looks like it may be a nice in between option of not as rigid as steel flex hose and not as floppy as the accordian style that the Brandt vac came with.

I have a couple of those 3 piece hoses. They are ok. I prefer the one piece rubber lined stuff. I have used some stuff that is cheaper than the rubber lined hose. That is what I use the most now. It has been holding up so far. wholesalehoses.com/flex-tube-pu-60-hf-hose/I also tried some cheaper thinner side walled stuff. It collapses down easily and is almost worthless. I still have a big chunk of it around if anyone wants it for free, come and get it.

Perhaps that is a better way to go Lan. I see in the REM pdf I put up they have a basket weave hose which is a little less flexible than their other one. All I really need is something I can bend about 70 to 90 deg over 8 ft. The steel flex hose I have trouble getting 30 deg. The flex hose on the Brandt can be made into a coil if I want and that is too flexible. Those are the only 2 hose types I have used. Looks like I need to do some shopping. I see there is this stuff, but being in Canada, by the time a guy pays shipping, exchange, customs/duty/brokerage fees then it gets to be a costly PITA. wynnenv.com/grain-vac-hose/
