Anyone have any experience with these in bin stir systems? I have purchased 2 systems for 2 5000bu bins on hoppers with rocket aeration, along with inline heaters. Still waiting for the final assembly to be completed as the stir augers are working but the rotational motor that moves the carriages in and out and around the bin is not working in either bin. The assy crew believes there is an electrical issue so waiting the them to send out an electrician to diagnose.
Just curious as to how others have run the system. It says in the manual to start the augers once there is ~1000 bu in the bins and keep them running as you fill the bin, other wise the grain packs too hard and the augers cant start up. But once they have run for a few days can you shut them off for a few weeks then start them again, or will I have to empty the bin? Does the grain settle or will it settle that much? Thinking more of using them after harvest for some long term canola and this would save of having to roll loads out.
How much quicker do they assist in drying down vs a normal hopper bin with air?

I can't really help you on how they perform, but I'd be interested to know how they do turn out. My guess is that the grain will dry evenly which is the main problem with regular aeration where you get a drying front and that can lead to trouble.

They dry some what even. But you need some ventilation tubs on the walls. Cuz they stay wet.
