Hi All,
Was Dryfarmer before and still farming in the dry now.
Great to see so many familiar names are here as well.
Have been a member since July, too lazy to say hello till now.
Going through the buying new combine process now so will report when it's done and why.

Welcome. Yeah things are getting weird over at the other forum. Today a new user posts that "red is the best color for a tractor" to an old thread on paint restoration. What? So bizarre.
The admins over there asked me about being a moderator which I'm not opposed to but they basically want someone to commit a lot of time to it which I just can't do.

I took a peek at the red paint comment, and don't forget the posts trying to push "Gummies" and I see that was put in the JD section as its Green Gummies. And for anyone that has not seen that, its someone pushing drugs basically as in CBD and keeps popping up lately. All this reminds me too much of constant spam flowing into an email address I rarely use. Hopefully not too many spammers ever find this forum.

Things are getting weird over there? They were crap before we all bailed, it just keeps going. I saw one post stating most of us over here were tin foil hat conspiracy theorists. Don't really give a diddly poo about that site, I couldn't hardly post a thing without getting banned again anyway. Admin watches pretty close and I think there are plenty of tattle tails there too.
So peaceful over here.

LOL, well I should clarify with my observation of after that whole mess last summer of flipping out bots or whatever one called them ( insiders actually is more like it ) , it did cool down or I thought so with less garbage type posts but over the last while its picked up with all this random crap of pulling out old threads with meaningless comments from first time posters and also the pushing drugs etc. While it was a different type of garbage posts prior to last summer, indeed that had been happening there for a few years and for whatever reason couldn't be contained. I saw that too of the comment that most of us over on this site were tinfoil hat wearers and in that sense attempting to diminish this forum but that was one persons opinion and everyone as a legit person is entitled to their opinions for sure.
Indeed its been a different atmosphere on this forum, and the freedom of posting a variety of items, don't have to be so careful with a slang word or two and as of yet I have not seen one troll pop up.

Yeah, definitely a lot of bots/spammers on the other forum. Since I still knock those out as I am here and there pretty well, but it is probably like 10-15 spammers that get caught by the forum software or whatnot, but still probably 4-6/day that gets through as they put those 'random generic comments' in a post, and then come back and edit them with the CBD websites or junk like that.
Definitely a whole lot cleaner at the forums here. Thats for sure.

I would love to see the tinfoil hat post, I can't get on to the old site without a vpn so I don't really bother looking. If someone could copy and paste it in the joke thread where it probably belongs I would appreciate the laugh. As far as spam, I have yet to come across any and I don't think any of the other mods have either. If spam ever becomes a problem here, it is as simple as all new users have to wait for moderator approval. The tools are here to prevent it, but as it sits they are still in the tool box. On a side note, anyone know Wca on the old site or Warreng here? He has not been on for sometime now and I am wondering if he is ok. He is also a mod here.

I got thinking after you were wondering about that tinfoil comment and had forgotten that it was "ME" who triggered the comment LOL ( so yes it appears to be my fault ). It all started about two weeks back when some troll dragged up an old thread about what the best Case combine had ever been built was and a thread from 2014. It was obvious it was a troll and I made a rather curt remark in regards to that trolls post and it sort of went from there as I commented that this type of troll issue has not been a problem on the new forum. Then I get asked ... um what's this new forum you are talking about and then that tinfoil comment from a member grew out of that discussion and also that ironically gave way to a few long time members there taking the initiative to look up this forum with a little help. From my view point its not fair to just paste that post in as a single post as it only makes sense when its read through every post rather then take it out of context and zero in on the person who said the short statement.
I will also say I assumed I could paste in the website address for this site in a private pm on that forum but soon found out how controlled it is behind the scenes as it automatically converted this sites address to that sites address. I had also said this site is called "Combineforum" and once again it took those words and changed them over to "The Combine Forum". I was floored and then I was pissed off !. That is far too much like the crap that is going on with social media sites like FB etc who block people or certain information from being posted on such sites because it doesn't fit their twisted political agenda.
