A couple of 1/2 inch falls since planting, inc. one this weekend, has secured us a good start at least. I hear you guys down south are having a ripper! Esp. Victoria.

Well, I’m not in “Mexico” ....... northern Riverina is where I’m based ....... & it’s OK here but needs a good rain ...... 25-30mm ..... soonish! We’ve have some nut shrinking frosts lately & they suck the moisture out ....... as well as freeze the family jewels.
SWMan ...... yeah ...... some still use that old measurement for rain ....... & area. 50 points sounds a lot more than 12.5mm!
Oh ..... “ripper” means ..... “a ball tearer” ....... “ducks guts” ........ “bonza” ...... “rip snorta” ........ “bottler” ....... “corker” .....

Somehow after all that I am none-the-wiser. My Grandma used to refer to a really hot day as a "corker", so I'll go with that...lol

Yeah, much clearer now...ha ha Only 27 words for Canada to remember Canadian SlangThere is a saying in Manitoba that I believe might be unique(or at least I have been told so). Called getting a "Booter". Means walking in water with rubber boots and if you get too deep and they fill with water, got lots of booters when I was a kid.

We have booters in Saskatchewan also I thought SK was too flat to have puddles deep enough for a booter??? They always said there is a pretty girl behind every tree in Saskatchewan and you can see your dog run away for three days. Any Manitoba jokes?

Can’t make too many Manitoba jokes it’s where my great grandpa came from. And those are only true about the southern part of Saskatchewan. In the northern parts the scenery is much better.
