How serious do you guys take aphids in peas? My agronomist seems to always find an "economic" level of aphids in my pea fields, but I've only pulled out the insecticide once in 4 years of growing them. Usually if I wait long enough it rains and washes them down to the ground, or the ladybugs ramp up and help out. I can't say I've been able to pinpoint a big yield loss because of them, but that's hard to discern for sure. Last year and this year I used a product called Oro Solute That link goes to company page, it's listed as an adjuvant most of the way down the page. It supposedly kills soft-bodied insects but nothing else, kind of dissolves them and they turn into a puddle on the plant...ha ha. Need to get coverage so they have to be up on the plant and lots of water. Also a fungicide(kills disease present on plant, no preventative activity) and I did part of field with no Delaro and just three passes of this stuff. I think a little over $7/acre at high rate so $22ish total compared to two passes of Delaro which is a pricey product(although it works very well). So will be interesting to see the comparison on the disease/yield. I just really hate insecticide and this stuff seems a reasonable alternative.

Will be interested to hear your findings. Never sprayed for Aphids here yet, but will ask a few questions nonetheless.
