Picked up a 9760 deere. Walker combine ate the walkers so ended up with a rotary unit. Have no clue as to set this unit for wheat canola barley and oats. I’ll start with going by book but past that I have no experience.

Where are you located and what kind of crop conditions will you be running in?

snapper I will give you some suggestions tomorrow. My settings have been pretty good for the crops you mentioned except my book is in the combine arm rest compartment. It is so easy to set and I have used the same settings for 11 years.

I’m in nw sask. Canola straw is tough and seed around 10%. Salesman was out yesterday and must’ve thrown 10 pans. Got down to 0.8 bu loss at 3.5mph on a 25’ swath in a 45bpa crop. Rotor 420 concave 16 chaffer 12 sieve 5 wind 675 returns 4 to 5 bars. Sample a bit dirty but too clean and I’d think losses would be more. Got rain so will be down for a bit.

Snapper try 750 rotor 750 wind 25 on concave and 10 and 4 on the sieves, I did a drop pan on those settings getting .3 to. 5 loses, mind you thats on a s680 ,brother in law as a 9860 and he uses those settings, from what hes say you can go as high as 850 on rotor if moisture is 10%+

Snapper rotor 560rpm concave 25 fan 660 top sieve 14 bottom 3 these are the 9760sts setting I have used on canola over the last 10 years with next to no loss. My dockage is usually .7-1.6 percent on L252.
It is interesting some guys use the high speed rotor setting.

If the crop is quite even and the combine is keeping a steady load, don't be scared to bump up the air a bit.
