WOH, I was wondering when the d.o.t where going to crack down on farm equipment. The western producer had an article about some farmers getting tickets for improper transport of equipment. I hope guys be careful otherwise one bad incident will make moving between fields a whole lot more difficult. How are these guidelines between the provinces, states , Europe, Ozzy, or other parts. Any body get ticketed

I see the AB regs have been changed, guessing that must have been the efforts of Notley's foul crew, was just reading thru the AB guidelines because a few things in the WP article caught my attention as having recently changed. Things like permits for moving bins and machinery with farm plated trucks and such, never required permits before. Dozer blades now need flags on the extremities of the blade, never required before...and hell my Stackcruiser isn't even legal anymore, need to install clearance lights on the extremities, the factory lights are no long adequate. And another that really stood out, SMV sign is now mandatory on back of EVERY implement, even when it is clearly visible on the back of the towing tractor like for example with a chisel plow where there is no obstruction. Flags on swather and combine headers are optional, contrary to what the WP article says. I remember this got discussed at the old forum a few years ago, def been some changes.
